Beit Zatoun

Beit Zatoun For 7 years (Jan-2010 to Dec-2016) and over 1000 events, Beit Zatoun served as a cultural and activism centre in the heart of Toronto.

It closed its doors due to gentrification but continues as an online community service space. Closed as a physical space in Dec 2016, Beit Zatoun (translates as "House of Olive") served as a gallery and performance space for the justice and human rights community in Toronto. It aimed to raise awareness and create greater understanding as ultimate means to peace through art and culture by hosting e

xhibits, talks, screenings, plays, music, dance, workshops, and being a resource centre. Although at the core, the question of Israel/Palestine is but one intersection point of many struggles and human dimensions. Beit Zatoun invites and welcomes all communities resisting oppression and affirming the rights of individuals to live in dignity and freedom. All Zatoun products are now available for sale at www.zatoun.com
