Filipino Student Association of Toronto Met
(formerly Filipino Canadian Association of Ryerson)

The Filipino Canadian Association of Ryerson (FCAR) is an organization whose purpose is to promote an understanding of the Filipino culture to the Ryerson community and address the concerns of students belonging to, and students interested in the respective culture. FCAR provides an understanding of Filipino culture and unity to the members of this organization, while also allowing the Ryerson stu

dent community to connect and network through hosted events and activities. This student group organizes intramural sports teams, movie nights, karaoke and games, culture shows, history workshops, pub nights... just to name a few! FCAR is composed of committed, responsible, fun, and eccentric executives who will stop at nothing to make sure that members are provided with exciting and educational events! FCAR wants to give something back to the Filipino community and have a greater influence at Ryerson and the surrounding Toronto area.

For our final general event of the year we were graced with some amazingly talented individuals who gave us a true harana to serenade our hearts 💕 Thank you to all of you who signed up to sing your hearts out and to those who cheered everyone on 🙌

Baybayin is a Phillipine script that was used before and during the 16th and 17th centuries before being replaced by the Latin alphabet. 📜✍🏼
