🎥 NOW LIVE 🎥 What is a divine gift? How do we recognize gifts of God in us and in others? What happens when we feel called to share our gifts but we fail or receive a negative reception? Today we reflect on these questions focusing on the first letters to Timothy, traditionally attributed to Paul, which offers pastoral advice to a generation of Christians divided by disagreement during challenging times, not unlike our own today.
We invite you to share this moment with our global community 🌏

🎥 NOW LIVE 🎥 Exodus: Gods and Kings received bad reviews, including criticism of how far it veered from the biblical narrative. Tonight we finally have a chance to look at this film using the same critical approach we use to look at ancient texts that expand or retell Bible stories. What can modern works like this reveal about how people today wrestle with questions of faith?
John Hamer and Leandro Palacios of Toronto Centre Place will watch “Exodus: Gods and Kings” and share their reactions 🎥🍿🙄😬😖😤😒🤣
Join us to ask questions in real-time and share insights in the live chat with our community of critical thinkers and spiritual seekers 🙋‍♀ 🙋‍♂

🎥 NOW LIVE 🎥 Beyond the Walls travels to Community of Christ International Headquarters in Independence, Missouri, to share a service about God’s grace. Our focus scripture from Ephesians argues that we are saved by grace and not by obedience to commandments, and that our new life in Christ has a spiritual focus. Material concerns and the distractions of daily life are even more omnipresent in our modern lives. How can we prioritize the immaterial, the meaningful, and the eternal so that we too can experience new life in Christ?
We invite you to share this moment with our global community 🌏

🎥 NOW LIVE 🎥 How might understanding ourselves as “members of one body” and “called to peace” change the way we live today?
In Christian understanding, Christ is Jesus and so much more. The author of the Epistle to the Colossians, writing in Paul’s name, expresses a vision of disciples in the present sharing union in Christ, proclaiming: “You died and your life is now hidden with Christ in God” and “you have been raised with Christ.” He explains this idea as having “taken off your old self” and “put on the new self which is being renewed in knowledge in the image of its Creator.” And since Christ in this way “is all and is in all,” worldly dividing lines are no longer operative, and we have become “as members of one body… called to peace.” This is an inclusive vision of the divine Christ, of which we are a part.
