We recently concluded our Gender-Based Violence (GBV) Training Workshop, bringing together community members, volunteers, and service providers to explore the realities of gender-based violence, human trafficking, and support pathways for refugee and newcomer women.

Through open discussion and shared learning, participants had the opportunity to deepen their understanding of these issues and consider how we can collectively strengthen support, awareness, and access to resources within our communities.

Thank you to everyone who participated and helped create a thoughtful and engaging space for learning.

At Hope for Refugees International, we believe that informed communities are better equipped to recognize challenges, respond with compassion, and connect individuals to the support they need.

Reflecting on an incredible Pride weekend. πŸ³οΈβ€πŸŒˆ

Hope for Refugees International was proud to once again take part in the Pride Toronto Pride March, celebrating the strength, resilience, and diversity of our communities.

For many newcomers and refugees, finding a place where they are welcomed, seen, and supported can be life-changing. Events like Pride remind us why we continue to advocate for communities where everyone can live with dignity, safety, and belonging.

Thank you to everyone who marched with us, stopped by to say hello, or cheered us on along the route. We look forward to continuing this work together.
