📢 Nominations are NOW OPEN for the 2026 Steinert & Ferreiro Award! 🏆

Community One Foundation is proud to present our premiere $15,000 award recognizing outstanding leadership, service, and dedication to the 2SLGBTQ+ community in the Greater Toronto Area.

Do you know an inspiring individual who has spent 10+ years making a significant impact in the arts, sciences, or community organizing? We want to celebrate the quiet builders and bold leaders who increase the understanding, acceptance, and well-being of 2SLGBTQ+ folks in the GTA.

Eligibility Highlights

- 10+ years of contribution in the GTA
Impact through the arts & sciences (including humanities, social sciences, fine arts, and physical sciences)
- A track record of uplifting the 2SLGBTQ+ community

🗓️ Deadline: Thursday, October 15, 2026, at 11:59 PM.

Recipients of a 2026 Rainbow Grant from Community One have been notified! Please check your email for all the info on accepting your award and receiving your funding, as well as everything you need to know about next steps.

Our awards ceremony is also scheduled! The wider community is welcome to join us in celebrating these great projects. Stay tuned for all the event details.

Over the next several weeks, we will be posting about the great projects and inititatives we have selected.

Community One received an incredible number of applications this year, and we worked extremely hard to choose the awardees for this cycle. If you were not selected, please know it is not necessarily a reflection of your project's merits or value. We appreciate all the hard work of our community members, and we look forward to whatever you have coming next, as well as your contributions to moving the world forward.

Rainbow Grants provide funding to foster new and innovative services and programs that have a positive impact on 2SLGBTQIA+ communities in the Greater Toronto Area (including Toronto, Durham, Peel, Hamilton, York, and Halton Regions, and Indigenous Communities across Ontario) under the following streams:

- Arts & Culture
- Community & Social Development
- Community Well-Being & Direct Services

Rainbow Grants Foundation Awards are available for up to $10,000 and are open to registered charities or groups trusteed by a registered charity.

Rainbow Grants General Awards are available for up to $3,000 and are open to unincorporated groups, collectives, and/or individuals without charitable status.
