🎶🌎 Another week of Play the Parks is bringing the world to Downtown Yonge!
From the reggae-fusion sounds of Jamaica and soulful music inspired by Kenya, to Greek traditions and the global influences of Peru, join us for four free performances celebrating music and cultures from around the world.
🗓️ Tuesday, August 18 | Granby Parkette
🎤 AMMOYE: Jamaican-born, Toronto-based Ammoye is a 7x JUNO Award nominee and one of Canada’s leading reggae-fusion vocalists. Raised in reggae, she pairs infectious melodies with a rich, soulful voice for a performance full of Caribbean energy.

🎤 Rose Shiku: Kenyan artist Rose Shiku blends soulful vocals, contemporary sounds, and heartfelt storytelling. Now based in Canada, her music explores love, growth, and self-expression while connecting listeners across cultures.

🎤 Dimitra Kahrimanidis / Δήμητρα Καχριμανίδη: Greek-Canadian singer, songwriter, and lute player Dimitra Kahrimanidis brings her deep knowledge of Greek music and ethnomusicology to the stage. Having performed across Greece, Canada, and the U.S., Dimitra celebrates Greek musical traditions through voice and strings.

🎤 Irene Torres Music: Born in Lima, Peru and raised in Canada, Irene Torres is an established voice in Toronto’s diverse music scene. Her artistry draws from a wide range of musical and cultural influences, creating a sound shaped by both her Peruvian roots and her life in Canada.
