Founded in 1952, the Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA), Ontario, is a non-profit, charitable organization committed to making mental health possible for all. We contribute our knowledge, resources and skills to provincial policy development and implementation. We promote mental health in collaboration with others. We further equitable access to mental health services and champion the reduc

CMHA Ontario is a dedicated partner within the network of Canadian Mental Health Associations at the national, provincial and local level. CMHA Ontario works closely with its local branches in communities across the province to ensure the utilization of best practices in the organization, management and delivery of services to consumers and families of individuals with mental illnesses, dual diagnosis and concurrent disorders. All CMHAs in Ontario work in a variety of partnerships to provide a coordinated, continuum of care using the social determinants of health model.

Men are less likely to seek mental health support. So until the stigma around men’s mental health is gone, checking in on the men in our lives remains one of the simplest and most important things we can do.

That’s why finding ways to break the silence if you’re worried about a man in your life can make a huge difference. Swipe through for some practical ways to connect - they won’t be anything you haven’t seen before, but they’re good reminders of their importance. Thought today (Men’s Mental Health Awareness Day) would be a good day to highlight these.

A big thank you to for welcoming the Your Health Space team to its hospital sites last week to deliver workplace mental health training to its dedicated staff.

Supporting the people who care for others is at the heart of what we do. Through psychoeducational training, Your Health Space helps strengthen workplace mental health, build mental health literacy and provide practical tools to address burnout across health care teams.

Since 2022, more than 130,000 participants from health care organizations across Ontario have taken part in the program. Made in Ontario and funded by the , Your Health Space is helping create healthier, more resilient workplaces across the province.

It was a pleasure connecting with Osler staff and seeing firsthand the commitment they bring to supporting both patient care and workplace well-being every day.

An excerpt from our latest.

While 2SLGBTQIA+ communities continue to face disproportionately high rates of mental health challenges, substance use and suicidality, these experiences do not define the community 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️

There is also joy. Creativity. Leadership. Advocacy. Care for one another.

There are people building safer spaces, supporting one another through crisis, advocating for better systems and creating communities where others feel less alone.

At CMHA, we won’t stop working toward a mental health and addictions system where every person feels supported and safe being who they are.

It was great to be at the Canadian Hockey League 2026 Memorial Cup in Kelowna last weekend and even better to spot our friends Doane Grant Thornton LLP 👀

Here's our CEO, Camille Quenneville, repping CMHA Ontario at Prospera Place. We were happy to see a Talk Today partner front and centre at one of Canada's biggest hockey stages 🏒

Doane Grant Thornton has been a proud supporter of our Talk Today program, one of Canada's most comprehensive mental health programs for young athletes. Their support is helping us expand our reach into Women's Hockey in Ontario, so even more athletes have access to mental health resources and su***de prevention education.

This year’s theme, Family Doctors: Driving Innovation in Health Care, feels especially important in mental health care.

Across Ontario, family doctors are helping normalize conversations about mental health and connect patients to evidence-based supports earlier.

At CMHA Ontario, we’ve seen firsthand how eager primary care teams are for practical tools and resources that support both patient mental health and provider well-being - from Ontario Structured Psychotherapy resources (we'll get more into this later on this week) to workplace mental health training through Your Health Space.

Thank you to family doctors for the care and innovation you bring to communities across Ontario every day 💚

Happy !

Join us in celebrating the impact of family doctors across Ontario.
