Ontario public service unions, including AMAPCEO, called on the Secretary of Cabinet to allow temporary remote work for employees in Toronto during FIFA World Cup.

The OPS Employer has responded that on the Toronto game days (June 12 and 26), employees may adjust their start or end times, and that managers can approve ad hoc remote work requests.

If you work in downtown Toronto, AMAPCEO encourages you to request remote work.

Reminder: if you have received an AWA decision, share your response letter with us at [email protected].

May 5 is the National Day for Awareness of Missing & Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls, Two-Spirit, and Gender-Diverse People (MMIWG2S+), also known as “Red Dress Day”, coined by Métis artist Jamie Black as “an aesthetic response to this critical national issue.”

Today, we honour the lives of MMIWG2S+ by raising awareness of this ongoing national tragedy, and we hold in our thoughts the families and communities who live with the grief of losing loved ones.
