We’re coming to you live from Scarboro Beach Park, an amusement park that used to bring in millions of visitors but no longer exists today.

💡 Bonus : Ever walked along Scarboro Beach Boulevard? The street now runs where the amusement park’s entrance gates once stood, and at the end of it is where our plaque is installed, right by the beach!

Love bringing stories to life and creating meaningful public experiences across the city?

We’re hiring Program Assistants to support our 2026 tours season and other events. From coordinating programming and volunteers to assisting with in-person tours, digital content, and the Heritage Toronto Awards, this role is a chance to gain hands-on experience in public history and community engagement.

If you’re passionate about Toronto’s heritage, enjoy working with people, and want to help shape inclusive, engaging programs that reflect the city’s diverse stories, we’d love to hear from you.
