What a wonderful afternoon celebrating Pride Month and Juneteenth together! 🌈✊🏿

Thank you to everyone who joined us for an afternoon of food, music, games, trivia, and connection. It was great to come together as colleagues, take time to celebrate, learn, and reflect, and enjoy each other's company in a welcoming and inclusive environment.

Pride Month and Juneteenth remind us of the importance of recognizing diversity, honouring history, and fostering communities where everyone feels valued, respected, and supported. The trivia activities also gave us an opportunity to learn more about the history and significance of both Pride and Juneteenth while having some fun along the way.

A special thank you to everyone who helped make this event possible. From planning and organizing to setting up and facilitating activities, your efforts helped create a meaningful and engaging experience for all.

Thank you to everyone who participated and helped make the afternoon such a success. ❤️

This June, we're celebrating Seniors Month and embracing this year's theme, "Let's Get Moving," a reminder of the importance of staying active, connected, and engaged at every stage of life.

At Dixon Hall, we're proud to offer programs and events that bring seniors together, promote healthy living, and foster meaningful connections. From Strides for Health and FoodFit to Dixon Hall's Got Talent, the Walk & Roll Challenge, and so much more, we're creating opportunities for older adults to stay active, build friendships, and thrive.

Seniors enrich our communities every day through their wisdom, resilience, and contributions. Seniors Month is a chance to celebrate their impact and recognize the vital role they play in shaping stronger, more connected neighbourhoods.

Want to join the celebration? We'd love to have you move with us. Join our Walk & Roll Challenge on June 20 from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at 51 Wyatt Ave. Together, we'll raise awareness and support programs that help seniors live healthy, active, and connected lives.

This Pride Month, we celebrate inclusion, belonging, and the diverse communities we serve every day.

This year’s Pride Toronto theme, “We Won’t Stop,” is a reminder of the importance of continuing to stand up for equity, dignity, and safe spaces for all.

At Dixon Hall, serving underserved communities with compassion and care is at the heart of who we are, and we remain committed to creating welcoming spaces where everyone feels seen, respected, and valued.

Happy Pride Month from all of us at Dixon Hall.

Yesterday we celebrated the graduation of our very first F.A.S.T Track to Hospitality cohort! 🎓

Over the last two weeks, this group focused on building the skills and confidence needed to begin their journey in the hospitality industry through certification-based and employment readiness training. Participants completed industry-focused learning in areas such as workplace expectations, customer service, food safety, and career preparation, while developing the professional skills needed to succeed in fast-paced hospitality environments.

The program concluded with a shared celebratory meal, where participants had the opportunity to cook together, connect as a team, and celebrate everything they accomplished throughout the training. It was great to see everyone show up each day, support one another, and proudly reach the finish line together. We are incredibly proud of the dedication and growth this group demonstrated, and we can’t wait to see where their journeys take them next.

A huge thank you to for making this program possible. We also want to thank .hotel.group and for providing workshops, industry insights, and opportunities for our participants throughout the program.

Expect a welcoming afternoon filled with thoughtful conversation, a live Q&A, and light refreshments while you connect with others in the community. Spots are limited, and registration is required. Don’t miss your chance to be part of it!

Happy Mother’s Day 💐

Today, we celebrate the mothers and mother figures who help hold our communities together.

At Dixon Hall, we see the care, strength, and support mothers show every single day. Whether it’s showing up for their families, helping others, or creating new opportunities, their impact is felt everywhere.

Thank you for all that you do and for the many ways you help make our community stronger.

Over the past few weeks, we've had the wonderful opportunity to welcome volunteers from Liberty Mutual across our Adult Day Program, Alzheimer's Day Program, and Friday Breakfast Program.

From helping prepare and serve over 80 meals to neighbours facing food insecurity, to sharing quality time with seniors through warm conversation and laughter, your team's kindness has made a genuine difference in the lives of those we serve.

A heartfelt thank you to Rob Marsh for your leadership and ongoing commitment, and to the entire Liberty Mutual Insurance team for choosing to partner with Dixon Hall. Together, we're helping build a community where everyone can truly belong and thrive.
