Digital skills are no longer optional. From applying for jobs and accessing healthcare to communicating with family and managing finances, much of daily life now happens online. Yet for many adult learners, especially those with low literacy, language barriers or interrupted formal education, navigating the digital world can feel overwhelming.

For adult literacy practitioners, this presents both a challenge and an opportunity. Supporting learners with low digital literacy isn’t just about teaching them how to use a device—it’s about building confidence, independence and the ability to fully participate in digital society.
