Also known as musculoskeletal disorders, repetitive strain injuries are an umbrella term used to describe a family of painful disorders affecting tendons, muscles, nerves and joints in the neck, upper and lower back, chest, shoulders, arms and hands.

Repetitive strain injuries are the most frequent type of lost-time injury and the single largest source of lost-time costs in Canada. Preventing them from occurring not only protects the workers, but also makes good business sense.

We can take action to prevent them by eliminating hazards at the source, creating a well-designed workstation, educating and training.

Pink Shirt Day started because two boys chose to stand up against bullying rather than stand by and watch it happen. This year's theme is 'Standing together against bullying and violence.' We should also use this opportunity to educate and inspire others to take action and stand up against bullying.

Did you know that the Canadian flag’s length is double its width, and the white square featuring a maple leaf represents half of the flag’s area, which is the same size as both red bars together?

At the stroke of noon on February 15, 1965, Canada’s red and white maple leaf flag was raised for the very first time on Parliament Hill. On the same day in 1996, National Flag of Canada Day was declared.

Let's take pride in our national flag, which is a symbol that unites us and reflects the common values we take pride in — democracy, inclusion and equity.

In 2005, the United Nations General Assembly designated January 27th to mark the anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz-Birkenau, the Nazi’s largest and deadliest concentration camp.

It is a day to honour the 6 million Jews who were systematically murdered by the N***s. Let's remember and honour the victims and reiterate that we can be diverse in our religion, mindset, lifestyle and culture and still be united.

“Just because no one else can heal or do your inner work for you, doesn’t mean you can, should, or need to do it alone.”

This year's theme is 'Creating Positive Changes’ in ourselves and others which also reflects the need to take action and help others in need. Sometimes the simplest things we do can lead to significant changes for ourselves and others, like talking or listening to someone.
