And that’s a wrap on Public Pier!
Over three weekends, Marina Quay West came to life with art, music, food, and new ways to experience Toronto’s waterfront.
By day, visitors gathered for DJs, dance workshops, public art, and food and drinks. After dark, SILO NIGHTS came to life with monumental art projections onto the Canada Malting Silos.
More than an event, Public Pier was a collaborative public-realm pilot exploring how an underused waterfront site could become a welcoming place for culture, connection, and gathering. Through temporary programming and creative placemaking, the project offered a glimpse of Marina Quay West’s potential as a future public space and cultural destination.
Public Pier was presented in collaboration between The Bentway, Harbourfront Centre, OCAD University, and the Waterfront BIA, with the Toronto Port Authority as Lead Sponsor. Together, the partners brought expertise in public space, arts and culture, design, community engagement, and waterfront destination development to a shared vision for the site.
