Maple Star Specialized Foster Care is a licensed foster care agency located in Vaughan, Ontario. We train and support nurturing, loving foster parents to provide care for children and youth in their homes. We support our foster parents by providing case managers with low caseloads, child and youth workers and tutors for children, and generous wrap-around services to engage the children with their

National Day for Truth and Reconciliation can mean different things to different people, though we are all united in the act of reflection. It is important to honour the memories of survivors, who were harmed by horrendous abuse at residential schools, and their families who have suffered intergenerational trauma. It’s also time to commemorate those who did not survive. For all of us, it will be difficult to acknowledge and sit with the truth of the past and it’s enduring impact on our society.

Now more than ever, we need compassionate foster parents. With the COVID-19 pandemic, it has become especially challenging to find foster homes for children and youth who desperately need them.
