🎭Into the Depths of the Prop Room 🧹

💕On Saturday, five brave Theatre Tillsonburg volunteers ventured into one of the theatre’s most mysterious locations: the prop room.

🧹What started as a clean up quickly became an archaeological dig through years of theatrical treasures. This wasn’t just a tidy up, it was a full deep clean, organization project, and purge of broken, duplicate, and no longer needed items.

🌟The results? Nothing short of miraculous.

💕Dishes have been reunited with their fellow dishes, curtains have been sorted and stashed with their fabric friends, shelves have reappeared, and finding a specific prop no longer requires an archaeological expedition.

👀 Along the way, we discovered one undeniable truth: no matter how many vases you find in the prop room, there’s always another vase and don’t even get us started on the mugs. If Theatre Tillsonburg ever opens a coffee shop, we’re already fully stocked. ☕🏺

💕A huge thank you to our amazing volunteers for donating their time, energy, and organizational wizardry. Thanks to their hard work, the prop room has never looked better and there’s a very good chance we can now find that prop you’ve been looking for. 😉

👀 We’re looking for one special actor to complete the cast of The Numbers Game by John Spurway, directed by Joe Sheik.

🌟Meet Mitch.

🎸 A musician whose creativity is inspired by the sunrise.
🌅 An early riser who finds beauty in the world around him.
🏖️ A lover of beaches, fresh air, and weekend adventures.
❤️ A caring, loving partner who is struggling to balance his deep love for Bernie with his need to stay connected to the world as she begins to withdraw into herself.

💕Mitch is warm, kind, thoughtful, and full of life. He believes in embracing each day and finding joy in the little things.

👀We’re seeking a male actor who can convincingly portray someone in his 50s and bring this caring, compassionate musician to life. While Mitch is a supporting role, he is an important part of this touching and heartfelt story.

🌟After a long absence, Theatre Tillsonburg’s Teen Theatre Program is making its return, and we couldn’t be more excited to see this incredible program back on our stage!

💕For many years, our Teen Theatre Program gave young performers and theatre enthusiasts a place to learn, grow, build confidence, and create lifelong friendships. Some of those former participants are now part of our theatre family as actors, directors, crew members, volunteers, and leaders. As alumni of the program, we’re thrilled to help inspire and encourage the next generation of theatre lovers.

🎭This afternoon marks the final performance of Having Hope at Home, and we are thrilled to share that today’s show is completely ‼️SOLD OUT‼️

💕Over the past two weekends, audiences have filled our theatre with laughter, applause, and heartfelt appreciation for this wonderfully Canadian story. From opening night to today’s final curtain, it has been a joy to share the warmth, humour, and family chaos of the Bingham family with our community.

💕To everyone who purchased a ticket, shared a post, volunteered their time, donated their talents, sponsored the production, or simply cheered us on, thank you. Community theatre only happens because of the incredible support of our community, and we are so grateful.
