My staff worked on this property for 2 days installing new gardens. Some things the homeowner wanted to keep in but we’ve added much more colour with a Japanese Maple, hydrangeas, flox, delphiniums, astilbes, cat mint, corabells etc. We also softened the garden by slightly changing the shape of it and bringing it into the driveway. It turned out beautifully. On this project, the homeowner did not want the gardens mulched.

This is the biggest residential property that we’ve edged and mulched this year. The homeowner’s take excellent care of their lawn and gardens themselves but needed us to mulch with a red devil mulch. Our staff did an excellent job.

Another garden install. This garden needed the soil to be lowered before a garden was installed. Lots of landscape fabric to dig through. The garden turned out quite nicely. Jacquie Oatman our garden designer and our staff did a fantastic job with lots of colour to enjoy. Then we added a fresh covering of dark brown mulch to finish it off.

Our staff team mulches gardens with excellence! With this particular garden, trimming the shrubs, straightening the bricks and edging the gardens all had to be done before the mulching even started. We’re really happy the way it turned out.

These great people moved into this house about a year ago. Besides having to have a driveway done with a wheelchair ramp, they also had to have the side of their house dug up and repaired due to water getting in. Long story short, they’ve lived in mud and sand for a while. We graded the lawn from the new driveway/ramp being installed and layed sod, installed new gardens in the front and back of her house, added a beautiful colour of dark brown mulch and installed edging along the side of the house to keep all the stones in the area of the leak. The black plastic in the garden are critter spikes to keep the rabbits out. The brick border will be levelled by another company in the near future. This was a big job but turned out beautifully!

It’s amazing how doing minor changes to a garden can cheer people up and that’s exactly what this couple needed. They had red lava rock that was quite dull in their garden and they wanted some kind of white rock. I went out and purchased white marble stone that sparkles and glistens when the sun hits it. The brick border had lifted from a root from the maple tree pushing it up. We were able to cut the root enough so that the border would be level again. At the side of their house, the grass was dead so we put in a variety of hosta’s to spruce it up a bit and added mulch. If you wonder what happens to some of the plants we tear out of other people’s gardens, we usually use them in another garden keeping the cost down for the next people.

The owner’s of this property have been struggling with health issues and their gardens got ahead of them. It was an honour and privilege to help them out as they do so much for others. Unfortunately, I don’t have too many before photos but this garden was a wee bit of a challenge as it’s mostly in the shade. Astilbe’s, shade hydrangeas, shade hosta’s, golden cypress etc were some of the shade plant selections. We enjoyed doing a total garden makeover for this wonderful couple.
