We’ve Evolved Our Learning Model to Better Support You!

The Adult Literacy and Basic Skills program has launched a new, more flexible classroom model. Our doors are now open to a personalized approach designed to better meet your learning needs.

Here’s What’s New:

• Open Learning Hours: Our classroom is open Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM, with extended hours on Tuesdays until 8:00 PM.

• Tailored Support: Drop in anytime during open hours for help with whatever skill you’re working on—reading, writing, math, digital skills, or more.

• Inclusive and Responsive: No need to wait for a specific class day—come when it works for you and focus on what you need.

We believe this model offers greater flexibility and better meets the diverse needs of our adult learners. Whether you’re brushing up for work, training, or personal goals, our team is here to support your journey—on your schedule.

Today we're reminded that growing older brings experience, perspective, and resilience. Every older adult deserves to age with dignity, respect, and confidence.

Preventing elder abuse starts with awareness. Here are five important reminders:

• Know your rights and recognize the signs of abuse and neglect.
• Protect your finances and take your time with important decisions.
• Remember that abuse can happen at any age and often isn't obvious.
• Speak up when you see bullying, exclusion, or disrespect.
• Support caregivers and encourage them to seek help when needed.

This World Elder Abuse Awareness Day, let's celebrate everything older adults bring to our families and communities!
