⚾ RESPECT EVERYONE ⚾

There has been a concerning increase in the use of racist and homophobic language on ball fields across British Columbia.

Let us be clear: there is no place for racism, discrimination, or homophobic language in baseball on or off the field.

Baseball is a game for everyone. We all share a responsibility to create safe, welcoming, and respectful environments for athletes, coaches, officials, volunteers, and families.

🚫 Racist language has no place in our sport.
🚫 Homophobic language has no place in our sport.
✅ Respect, inclusion, and sportsmanship are expected from everyone.

We encourage coaches, team officials, and parents to have meaningful conversations with athletes about the impact of their words and the standards expected when representing their team and community.

Respect Everyone. Every Player. Every Coach. Every Official. Every Game.

Danielle has a pretty famous brother... Both are very successful people. This is not just about sport either but life in general.

Some parents are so busy protecting their kid’s feelings that they’re destroying their ability to grow.

Every bad game has an excuse.

Every tough coach is the problem.

Every teammate is the reason.

Every loss is somebody else’s fault.

It’s bu****it.

The real world doesn’t care about your excuses, and neither does high-level sports.

Your kid is going to get coached hard. They’re going to get benched. They’re going to fail in big moments. They’re going to cost their team a game at some point.

Every athlete does.

So stop teaching them to look around for someone to blame every time things don’t go their way.

Because the second athletes believe everything is everyone else’s fault, they stop looking in the mirror.

And that’s where growth dies.

The strongest athletes I’ve ever been around weren’t the ones who were constantly told they were right. They were the ones willing to own their mistakes, get uncomfortable, and ask:

“What could I have done better?”

Not because they were the reason they lost.

Because they understood they could always be part of the solution.

Your job as a parent isn’t to be your kid’s defense attorney.

Your job is to help them develop accountability.

One day that coach won’t be there. That teammate won’t be there. You won’t be there.

All they’ll have is the habits you’ve helped build.

Stop raising athletes who need excuses.

Raise athletes who own their s**t.

📣 CONGRATULATIONS to our very own Blue Sox Caleb, Kasey and Marques selected from the 15U AAA team to represent Zone 3 - Fraser Valley at the 2026 BC Summer Games and Finn Simpson selected for the 14U Summer Games this coming July. Way to go Boys! 👊

A special moment for the Victoria Eagles family this week as seven Eagles alumni — Oliver Mabee, Jack Swinton, Kai Gray, Dom Biello, Julien Cull, Witt Nevins, and Tyler Burton — travelled to Omaha, Nebraska to surprise Tyrus Hall ahead of his debut at the NCAA Men’s College World Series. Former long‑time, former Eagles coach Dave Auger also made the trip, joining Tyrus’ dad Marty in the stands.

In West Virginia’s 7–5 win over Troy, Tyrus went 2‑for‑3 with a walk, a double, a single, and a team‑leading four RBI — a huge performance on the biggest stage in college baseball.

We couldn’t be prouder of this Victoria-raised Eagle graduate representing our community in Omaha. Go Mountaineers, and go Tyrus! 💛💙⚾️

⚾️ 2026 Baseball BC Senior AA Provincial Championships ⚾️

Baseball BC is pleased to announce the 2026 Senior AA Provincial Championships, taking place September 4–7, 2026 at McArthur Island in Kamloops and hosted by the Kamloops Men’s Baseball League.

Eight of British Columbia’s top Senior AA teams will battle through pool play and playoffs for the chance to be crowned Provincial Champions.
