PORT COQUITLAM ELKS # 49
Presentation of 75 years of service to Sister Fern Rooney

The auxiliary to Port Coquitlam Elks #49, Royal Purple Lodge #10 was formed in 1947.

Fern Rooney was a charter member of that Royal Purple #10 Lodge at the age of 26. That means that she has devoted 79 years of service to this organization.

Throughout those years Fern has held every chair in the Port Coquitlam #10 Royal Purple Lodge. She led the Ladies Drill Team for many years for our Lodge and for many other Lodges as well. She has spent countless hours catering banquets, weddings, meetings, and gatherings of all kinds. You mention it and she has done that.

Port Coquitlam Lodge #49 is honoured to present Sister Fern on January 8, 2026, her 105th birthday with a 75 yr. Pin, a plaque of recognition from the Elks of Canada, and flowers from all of us for her dedicated years of service to this community.
