About Us
The Canadian Jamaican Medical Assistance Society was created due to the perceived need of the countries of the Caribbean needing better quality healthcare. The Canadian Jamaican Medical Assistance Society was incorporated in 1992 under the British Columbia Society Act to assist hospitals in the Caribbean by providing equipment, supplies, and volunteer personnel. The “Purposes” of the CJMAS as set out in the constitution were amended on July 12, 1997, to include “Educational” assistance. With the support of persons such as yourself, the Canadian Jamaican Medical Assistance Society (CJMAS) continues to make a remarkable difference in the lives of others who without your continued show of support would otherwise find themselves amongst the lost and forgotten of this world. The recipients of this aid include hospitals, schools, the homeless & rehabilitation facilities all of whom are extremely grateful for your support.
