A Celebration of Irish Heritage The Rose of Tralee International Festival celebrated 50 years in 2009, and is one of Ireland's longest running festivals.

Annually located in Tralee, County Kerry, Ireland, it is based around the selection of the Rose of Tralee, an international event that encompasses young women of Irish descent from Ireland and around the world, celebrating their current Nationalism through their volunteerism, their choice of career, and their extra-curricular life choices. A celebration of heritage! Every year more than 30 International Roses travel to Tralee, including Newfoundland & Labrador in 2012, supported by friends and family. The Festival comprises Rose Selection during a live 2 night television RTE broadcast, family carnival, fashion show and live concerts, in addition to welcoming visitors and delegates from cities and regions worldwide represented by each Rose. Newfoundland & Labrador now has the opportunity to play a proud part in this celebration by sending a Rose to compete, representing the strong Irish heritage, talents and abilities that embodies a Newfoundlander!

A beautiful morning for a beautiful cause. 💛🌹

Our Mustang Sally’s Rose, Meghan, laced up for a 5K this past week in support of Candlelighters and children living with cancer.

Funds raised through the event help send children with cancer to summer camp, giving them the opportunity to make memories, have fun, and simply enjoy being kids. 🩵

Meghan even brought her Rose sash along for the final stretch of the race, proudly representing our Rose community along the way. 🌹

Way to go, Meghan! We’re so proud to see our Roses continuing to show up and support causes that make a difference in our community. 💛

It was an excellent day celebrating world Cleanup Day with my fellow titleholders, Miss Achievement, Alpita Patro, and Miss Newfoundland and Labrador, Cassidy Barry.

Thank you so much to the members of our community who came out to help cleanup our city!

A special thanks to community leader, Ava and her pop Bob for coming out to support the cleanup. Ava and Bob were recently featured on NTV news for their initiative to clean up St. John’s which they have been doing for the last 4 years. It is so inspiring to meet youth in our province who want to make a difference, and I can’t wait to see what Ava does next!

A little fashion, a little community, and a whole lot of heart 🌹💚

Last weekend, our 2026 Newfoundland & Labrador Rose, Kathleen Murphy, set up shop at the St. John’s Farmers’ Market, selling some of the beautiful vintage pieces she collected for her time in Tralee!

Even better, Kathleen donated the funds raised to The Lighthouse Project, a meaningful initiative started by Kerry Rose Caoimh Lynch. 🌹

We love seeing the connections made through the Rose of Tralee continue long after the festival, and seeing our Rose find ways to give back along the way.

A huge well done to Kathleen, and thank you to the St. John’s Farmers’ Market for creating spaces and opportunities for our community to come together and support great causes. 💚

World Cleanup Day is coming up THIS SUNDAY, September 20th.

To celebrate, our current Miss Achievement Newfoundland and Labrador, Alpita Patro and I will be hosting a cleanup!

Where: Stavanger Drive Area (park at the old Princess Auto, 410 Stavanger Drive)

When: THIS SUNDAY, September 20th, 1-3pm

Supplies will be provided. Come help make our city a cleaner place! 🌱🍃😄

Our C&D Plumbing Rose, Cheyenne, has been out exploring some of the incredible history right here in Newfoundland and Labrador! 🌹✨

This week, she stopped by the beautiful Old Courthouse in Harbour Grace, just one of the many historic buildings and unique places that make our province so special.

We love seeing our Roses getting out into their communities, exploring our province, and celebrating the places and stories that make Newfoundland and Labrador home. ❤️

From the moment you stepped into this role, you have taken on every part of this journey with confidence, kindness, an incredible attitude and so much grace. You have embraced every opportunity, every person and every experience with an open heart, and you have represented home so beautifully every step of the way.

The support surrounding you here in Tralee, and from everyone cheering you on back home, is such a testament to the person you are. People meet you and instantly adore you, and we certainly count ourselves among that group. ❤️
