What a fantastic Tuesday lunch!
A warm Rotary welcome to our two newest members, Dr. Asad Naveed and Sheila Purvis. We're so glad to have you at the table!
We were also honoured to have Algoma Family Services join us this week. AFS is a provider of mental health and addiction services for children, youth, adults and families right here in Sault Ste. Marie and the Algoma District. Their work bridges the gap between families who need support and the services that can change lives.

This week, we were honoured to speak at the Rotary Club of Sault Ste Marie Ontario , to share with their members the incredible work that has been happening at the Algoma Youth Wellness Hub.

We want to thank the Rotary Club and the fundraising done through UCab and Hayley's Wings for their generous gift towards helping our youth access the mental health resources they need in a safe space here in our community.

We're excited to help paint the town red, and our co-op students went in support of the Soo Greyhounds Hockey Club! Rotary and the Hounds go way back - we've highlighted some of our favourite pictures together on our front window:

⚙ December 6, 1955: Rotarian Russ Ramsay Jr. introduces Matt Mesich and Ron Lay, members of the 1955-56 Greyhound Hockey Club, to Rotarians at our luncheon. Coach Sugar Jim Henry, former NHL goaltending star, addressed the meeting.

🏒 August 14, 1970: Timmy Howard, our Rotary Club’s “Timmy” of 1968, drops the ceremonial opening face-off at a benefit hockey game at the Gardens. Gene Ubriaco and brother John Ubriaco, a former star premier with the senior Greyhounds, take the face-off while Phil Esposito holds Timmy.

💰 February 26, 2004: Dash and friends celebrate $46,000 raised at the Bell Celebrity Skate & Swim in a full-page ad in the Sault Star.
