We are proud to serve Tseycum! 🦅

❓ Did you know? Tseycum is one of the communities that make up the W̱SÁNEĆ Nation (the Emerging People). The SENĆOŦEN name for Tseycum is W̱SĺKEM, meaning “land of clay.” 🏞️

The name W̱SĺKEM refers to one of W̱SĺKEM’s (Tseycum’s) traditional village sites on the northwest side of the Saanich Peninsula.

Using the SENĆOŦEN name – W̱SĺKEM – whenever possible affirms cultural identity and revitalizes our language. 🗣️

Learn how to pronounce W̱SĺKEM by visiting our website: http://niltuo.ca/community-names .
