Every summer brings its own set of memories here at the club. I have been fortunate over the many years I have been here to meet so many great kids who show us their clout, their dreams and their challenges. The staff here is amazing is supporting each tiny human who comes their way and makes memories for the child and themselves as well. Including me.
For a few years now, there's a young girl who has been a part of our clan and she is amazing. I have a great bond with her and I am excited to see where her path will go. This summer, she made us matching friendship bracelets. This has meant so much to me. What it took for her to come to me with this and display this level of trust and friendship will remain with me for years. I haven't removed it (as you are not supposed to) since she gave it to me. It's rather grungy and faded but it is so valuable to me. She will grow out of our group and on that day, I will start missing her.
I love what I do and I love seeing the impact each of us here has with the kids. I couldn't have asked for a better summer. ~ Lynda
