Due to the ongoing extreme wildfire hazard in New Brunswick, the Town of Riverview continues to encourage residents to take precautions.

Trail Update:
- Please be advised that all trails in Mill Creek Nature Park are closed effective immediately until further notice. This proactive step is being taken to help protect our community during this period of extreme heat and dry conditions.
- The Dobson Trail has been closed until further notice.
- Open-air trails like the Riverfront Trail and Gunningsville Trail continue to remain open to the public.

Event Update:
- The Perseids Meteor Shower Party scheduled for this evening in Mill Creek is cancelled.
- The Block Party for Wards 3&4 on August 12 has been cancelled and won’t be rescheduled due to extreme heat warnings in effect.

Fire Ban:
- A fire ban continues to be in effect
- This ban does not apply to barbecues or natural gas/propane fire pits, as they do not create sparks or embers.
