🎀 MEET Katharina Lenz — SURVIVOR. SUPPORTER. ADVOCATE. 🎀

Five years ago, at just 25 years old, Katharina Lenz received news that would change her life forever: she had breast cancer.

It was a journey she never expected to face, especially at such a young age. But today, five years later, Katharina proudly stands as a breast cancer survivor.💕

Her experience has inspired her to turn her journey into purpose.

Since her diagnosis, Katharina has continued to give back, fundraising, raising awareness, supporting the cause, and standing alongside others whose lives have been touched by breast cancer.

💬 “As a survivor, I’m passionate about giving back and helping ensure that no one has to face breast cancer alone.”

This is why we run. 🎀

We run for survivors like Katharina.
We run for those currently facing breast cancer.
We run in memory of those we have lost.
And we run with hope for a future without breast cancer.

🎀MEET JUDY 💗
A journey of courage, resilience and hope.

In 2015, Judy was diagnosed with microinvasive ductal carcinoma.

Just three weeks later, she underwent a lumpectomy and lymph node biopsy, followed by five weeks of radiation treatment at the Cross Cancer Institute in Edmonton.

Seven years later, another lesion was discovered in the same breas, this time at the Katherine Wright Clinic in Moncton.

Judy faced another difficult chapter: a complete mastectomy, followed by a few post-surgical complications.

But today, four years later, Judy is cancer-free. 💗

And one of the most beautiful parts of her story?

On the final day of her radiation treatments in 2015, her husband took her to Vis For Pies to celebrate. 🎀

Because sometimes, after the hardest days, you have to pause and celebrate how far you've come.

Judy's story reminds us that the breast cancer journey can take unexpected turns, but hope can carry us through.

Today, we celebrate Judy.
Her courage.
Her strength.
Her resilience.
And her journey.

In preparation for the 2026 CIBC Run for the Cure in Moncton, our amazing team of volunteers recently visited the Run site to walk through the space, discuss plans, and make sure everything is coming together for the BIG DAY! 👟💕

There’s a lot happening behind the scenes, and we’re working hard to make this year’s Run an unforgettable day of hope, community, remembrance, and support for everyone impacted by breast cancer.

Now we need YOU! 🫵🏽💗

🎀 MEET Sandra White Melanson 💗
One year later. Still standing. Still healing. Still hoping.

Almost one year ago, Sandra heard the words that would change her life:

“You have cancer.”

Since then, her journey has included three surgeries, radiation, targeted therapy — and now, reconstruction.

There have been days of fear.
Days of exhaustion.
Days of tears.
Days of uncertainty.
And days when she wondered, “How am I going to get through this?”

But today, Sandra can look back and say:

“I’m still here.” 💗

One year later, she is still standing.
Still healing.
Still hoping.
And learning that strength doesn't always look strong.

Sometimes strength is simply getting through another day.

Sometimes it is showing up for another appointment.

Sometimes it is taking one more breath and saying, “I’ll keep going.”

🎀 Sandra's message to anyone who has just heard the words “you have cancer” is one of hope:

You don't have to have it all figured out today.

Take it one day, one appointment, one treatment, one breath at a time.

There will be hard days.

But there will also be laughter.
Beautiful moments.
People who carry you when you can't carry yourself.
And a version of you on the other side of this journey that you haven't met yet.

Sandra doesn't know exactly what the road ahead will hold.

But she knows one thing:

# # # 💗 THERE IS HOPE.

To everyone currently walking their own breast cancer journey:

Sandra is sending you love, strength and hope.

Keep going. Your story isn't over. 🎀
