We are proud to welcome Lisa Setlakwe, Assistant Deputy Minister at Transport Canada, to the BCAC 2026 Conference in Kelowna.
Lisa will take part in a Fireside Chat with BCAC Board Chair Cathy Press, discussing human resource development and defence–civilian synergies in aviation and aerospace.
This marks the first time a senior Transport Canada leader has travelled from Ottawa to participate in our conference, making this a truly significant moment for our event and our industry.

We are delighted to announce that Dr. Suzanne Kearns will be the Opening Speaker at the BCAC 2026 Conference in Kelowna.
Dr. Kearns is the Founding Director of the Waterloo Institute of Sustainable Aeronautics (WISA) and an Associate Professor of Aviation in the Faculty of Science and Faculty of Environment at the University of Waterloo. Her work on sustainable aviation and the future of the industry promises to deliver an engaging and thought-provoking start to the conference.
