Every Saturday evening, The Salvation Army Mobile Outreach team heads into the community, providing hot meals, practical support, and meaningful connection to people who need it.

Now, we’re looking to build multiple teams that serve on a rotating schedule, so we can provide consistent outreach with a committed group of volunteers.

We’re looking for:
- Team Leads to coordinate meals and lead teams.
- Drivers to willing and able to drive our units.
- Support Volunteers to serve meals, connect with people, and provide practical support.

What are we looking for in a volunteer?

✔️ Availability on Saturday evenings
✔️ A willingness to work as part of a team
✔️ A commitment to show up consistently on a rotating schedule
✔️ A heart for serving people with dignity, compassion, and respect

To register for Christmas Assistance this year, families must first create an online account through our client management system.

Some families have already completed this step in preparation for registration opening.

Before creating an account:

✅ If you have received assistance from The Salvation Army in the past, you will need your Client ID Number (𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙨 𝙞𝙨 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝙖 𝙥𝙧𝙚𝙫𝙞𝙤𝙪𝙨 𝘾𝙝𝙧𝙞𝙨𝙩𝙢𝙖𝙨 𝙧𝙚𝙜𝙞𝙨𝙩𝙧𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙣𝙪𝙢𝙗𝙚𝙧).

✅ If you do not know your Client ID Number, visit: salvationarmyregina.ca/christmas-assistance and complete the online form to request it.

✅ If you have never received assistance from us before, you can create an account without a Client ID.

⚠️ Important: If you already have a Client ID and create a new account without it, duplicate files may be created. This can delay processing and may affect your eligibility for assistance.

🎁 Toy Shop distribution will take place December 10-16, so the date range you select should include those dates.

WE’RE HIRING: KETTLE WORKERS & A CHRISTMAS SUPPORT WORKER

Help make a difference in our community this Christmas! The Salvation Army Regina Community Church is hiring temporary positions.

🎄 Christmas Kettle Workers (3 openings available)
As a Kettle Worker, you’ll staff various Christmas kettle locations, welcome donors, collect donations, and answer questions about our work.

We’re looking for friendly, dependable individuals with strong people skills, flexible availability, and the ability to work independently. Shifts may include days, evenings, Saturdays, and split shifts. Applicants must be willing to work at locations throughout Regina and travel in inclement weather.

This is a temporary seasonal position with no set schedule and no guaranteed hours.
Target pay is $15.70/hour

🎄 Christmas Support Worker (1 opening available)
Working alongside our Christmas Team Lead, you’ll help keep our Christmas operations running smoothly. Responsibilities include troubleshooting issues, travelling to kettle locations to provide relief, assisting with kettle pickups, helping sort toy donations, and taking on other tasks as needed.

We’re looking for an organized, adaptable, and dependable individual with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently. A valid driver’s licence is required, and experience in community-based programs is an asset. The role involves lifting items and flexible scheduling, including some evenings and Saturdays.

This is a temporary seasonal position based on 25-40 hours per week with no set schedule.
Target pay is $16/hour

Christmas Assistance 2026

We’re using a new online registration portal this year. If you’ve received assistance from The Salvation Army before, please use your existing Client ID when creating your account to help avoid delays. If you’re new to The Salvation Army, you’ll be able to create a new account.

You can create your portal account right away but the ability to register and book your Christmas Assistance won't open until November 2nd @ 9am.
