June is a month of reflection, celebration, and gratitude.

As we recognize Pride Month and National Indigenous History Month, we honour the communities that have shaped who we are as an organization. AIDS Programs South Saskatchewan was founded by gay men during the HIV/AIDS crisis of the 1980s—individuals who stepped forward with courage, compassion, and a commitment to supporting one another when few others would.

Today, we are proud to continue that legacy while serving communities across southern Saskatchewan, including many Indigenous peoples, families, and Nations. We recognize the strength, resilience, cultures, and contributions of First Nations, Métis, and Inuit peoples, and we remain committed to learning, listening, and walking alongside the communities we serve.

This June, we celebrate diversity, honour history, and reaffirm our commitment to creating safer, healthier, and more inclusive communities for everyone.

❤️🧡💛💚💙💜

Today, on Mother’s Day, APSS honours and celebrates all mothers, parents, caregivers, aunties, kokums, chosen family, and those who nurture, guide, protect, and care for others in ways both seen and unseen. We celebrate families and communities of all backgrounds, including q***r, trans, and Two-Spirit people and families.

We recognize that this day can carry many emotions — joy, grief, love, loss, healing, and remembrance. We also acknowledge the ongoing impacts of colonialism, residential schools, child apprehension, and family separation that continue to affect many Indigenous individuals, families, and communities.

Today, we hold space for everyone experiencing this day differently, and celebrate with compassion, respect, community, and care for one another. ❤️

Today, we honour Red Dress Day — a National Day of Awareness for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls, and Two-Spirit People.

Across the country, red dresses hang as powerful reminders of the lives stolen, the voices silenced, and the families and communities forever changed.

At APSS, we stand in solidarity with Indigenous communities. We recognize that harm reduction, health equity, and justice are deeply connected — and that we cannot talk about community wellness without acknowledging the ongoing impacts of colonialism and violence.

Today, and every day, we remember. We listen. We learn. We commit to action.

🟥 Wear red
🟥 Honour the missing and murdered
🟥 Support Indigenous-led initiatives
🟥 Advocate for justice and change

No more stolen sisters.

Thankful Thursday 💙

Today we had a special visit from Kasey, a former APSS team member from 10 years ago, and we are feeling so grateful. It means so much when people who have been part of our journey stop by to reconnect, share encouraging words, and remind us of the lasting impact of this work.

We are also incredibly thankful for her generous donation to help purchase harm reduction supplies for our community. Support like this allows us to continue meeting people where they are with dignity, compassion, and care.

Thank you for remembering us, believing in the work, and giving back. Once APSS family, always APSS family. 💙✨

WOW — what an amazing message! 🎉❤️

Huge THANK YOU to the City of Regina for joining us for naloxone training and for the kind words. We love working with partners committed to learning, compassion, and saving lives.

At APSS, we know harm reduction and education build stronger, safer communities — and feedback like this keeps us going every day.

Shoutout to Tashia & Jay for another powerful training! 👏🔥

Together, we’re breaking stigma and building community. LET’S GO, REGINA! 🙌
