“Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.” — Proverbs 4:23

Today we continue our series:
“The Family: Protecting What Matters”

A healthy home begins with healthy hearts. When hearts are surrendered to God, forgiveness becomes possible, peace becomes attainable, and love becomes evident.

The challenges families face today cannot be solved by culture, entertainment, or self-help. The answer is found in Christ and His Word.

And above all, come hear the Gospel; the power of God unto salvation for everyone who believes.

Join us today at Lifeway.
Come ready to worship, grow, and hear from God’s Word.

“Above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness.” — Colossians 3:14

This week we have been reminded that protecting the family begins with protecting the heart.

Strong homes are built through forgiveness, peace, grace, and Christlike love. When God transforms our hearts, He transforms our relationships.

Join us this Sunday at Lifeway as we continue our series:
“The Family: Protecting What Matters”

Most importantly, you will hear the Gospel, the good news that Jesus Christ changes hearts and restores lives.

Bring your family.
Invite a friend.
Come expecting God to work.

“Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not...” — 1 Corinthians 13:4

The heartbeat of a healthy family is love.

Not a love based on feelings alone, but a love that reflects the character of Christ. Biblical love is patient when tested, kind when challenged, and faithful when circumstances are difficult.

The strongest families are not those without conflict; they are those where Christlike love consistently prevails.

Jesus demonstrated the ultimate expression of love when He gave Himself for us on the cross.

How can you show Christlike love to your family today?
Ask God to help your love reflect His.

“If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men.” — Romans 12:18

A peaceful home does not happen by accident.

Peace requires humility, patience, kindness, and a willingness to place God’s will above our own desires. It means choosing gentleness over harshness and understanding over selfishness.

While we cannot control the actions of others, we can choose how we respond.

Homes filled with Christ's presence are often marked by Christlike peace.

What could you do today to bring peace into your home?
Ask God to help you become a peacemaker in your family.

“Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another... even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye.” — Colossians 3:13

Every healthy family is built upon forgiveness.

When people live closely together, mistakes will happen. Words will be spoken. Feelings will be hurt. But families that refuse to forgive often carry burdens God never intended them to bear.

The standard for forgiveness is not our feelings. It is Christ!

He forgave us far more than we could ever forgive another person. As we remember His grace toward us, we find the strength to extend grace to others.

Is there someone in your family you need to forgive?
Ask God for the grace to let go of bitterness and choose restoration.

“Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.” — Psalm 51:10

Every family faces struggles because every family is made up of imperfect people.

Sin damages relationships. Pride creates division. Anger wounds. Bitterness lingers. But God offers forgiveness, cleansing, and restoration.

Revival in the home often begins when someone is willing to humble themselves before God and say, “Lord, start with me.”

Strong families are not families without failure. They are families that know how to seek God's forgiveness and extend grace to one another

Is there something in your heart that needs to be confessed to God?
Today is a good day to seek His cleansing and renewal.

“Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.” — Proverbs 4:23

The greatest battles in the family often begin in the heart.

Before problems appear in our words, attitudes, or actions, they usually take root internally. That is why God calls us to guard our hearts carefully.

A healthy family is built upon healthy hearts; hearts that are surrendered to God, guided by His Word, and sensitive to His Spirit.

If we neglect the heart, we weaken the home. But when we cultivate a close walk with God, we strengthen everything that flows from it.

What has been shaping your heart lately?
Ask God to search your heart and help you protect what matters most.
