Rooted and Grounded

“Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving.” (Colossians 2:7)

A strong Christian life does not happen by accident. It grows as we become rooted in Christ, grounded in the truth of Scripture, and established in our faith. The deeper our roots in God's Word, the better prepared we are to stand when the winds of difficulty and false teaching come. Are you building your life upon the unchanging truth of God?

Return Unto the Lord

“If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.” (2 Chronicles 7:14)

Genuine revival begins with God's people humbling themselves before Him. It calls us to prayer, repentance, and a renewed pursuit of His presence. Rather than focusing first on what needs to change around us, let us ask the Lord to search our own hearts. May He give us clean hands, pure hearts, and a fresh desire to live for His glory.

he Privilege of Prayer

“Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.” (Jeremiah 33:3)

Post: Prayer is more than a religious duty; it is the privilege of coming before our Heavenly Father. We can bring Him our burdens, seek His wisdom, confess our failures, and intercede for others. We may not always understand how He will answer, but we can trust His character and His perfect wisdom. Have you taken time to call upon the Lord today?

Hold That Fast Which Thou Hast

“Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown.” (Revelation 3:11)

Post: As Lifeway looks toward 26 years of ministry, we are reminded of the importance of holding firmly to the truth God has given us. Times change, culture changes, and circumstances change, but God's Word remains true. May we remain steadfast in our faith, faithful to the Gospel, and committed to the biblical convictions that have guided us. Our anniversary is not simply a celebration of the past; it is a renewed commitment to faithfulness in the days ahead!

Walking in His Light

“Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.” (Psalm 119:105)

We do not always know what tomorrow holds, but we can know the One who holds tomorrow. God's Word gives us light for the next step, wisdom for today's decisions, and truth to guide us when the way seems uncertain. Don't neglect the Bible as you navigate life's journey. Open it, read it, believe it, and walk in its light!

Lord, Revive Us Again

“Wilt thou not revive us again: that thy people may rejoice in thee?” (Psalm 85:6)

Revival begins when God's people recognize their need for Him. We can have activity without spiritual vitality, knowledge without devotion, and routines without genuine fellowship with the Lord. Let us seek Him with humble hearts and ask Him to revive our love for His Word, our burden for souls, and our desire to walk closely with Him. Lord, revive us again!

Give Thanks in Everything

Today is Thanksgiving Day in Canada.

As we gather around tables, enjoy good food, spend time with family, and reflect upon the blessings God has given us, let us remember that biblical thanksgiving is more than a holiday.

Thanksgiving is a way of life.

We are not told to give thanks only when everything goes our way. We are told to give thanks in every thing.

Today, take time to thank God specifically for three things He has done in your life.

Then take it one step further: tell someone else what God has done for you.

The Christian has a reason to give thanks even in difficult circumstances because our hope is not ultimately found in this life.

Because Jesus Christ died and rose again, those who trust Him have the promise of eternal life.

Our circumstances may change. Our health may change. Our possessions may change. But our salvation in Christ never changes.
