For more than 7 years, Shanté has worked as an emergency communication officer, supporting people through some of the most difficult and frightening moments of their lives. Shanté understands that asking for help can feel difficult, particularly for people who are accustomed to being the ones others rely on. Shanté’s goal is to create a space where clients can feel respected, understood and free from judgment.

PSPNET looks forward to continuing its collaboration with the government to support the mental health of Québec’s public safety personnel.

Together, we can continue working to ensure that police officers, firefighters, paramedics, correctional personnel, communications personnel, and other public safety personnel who help keep the public safe have access to reliable, accessible, well-established, and evidence-based treatment.

We are ready to work in partnership with the Parti Québécois government to contribute to the wellbeing of those who protect the people of Québec.

Congratulations and best wishes for success to Premier Paul St-Pierre Plamondon as he begins this new mandate.

- Dr. Amélie Fournier, psychologist, on behalf of the PSPNET Team
