To commemorate the Indian residential school experience, to witness and honour the healing journey of the survivors and their families and to commit to the ongoing process of truth and reconciliation, we invite all to wear an Orange Shirt and to attend events at Lheidli T’enneh Memorial Park on September 30th Noon – 5pm.
NATIONAL DAY FOR TRUTH AND RECONCILIATION
On Wednesday, September 30, Prince George is invited to gather at Lheidli T’enneh Memorial Park for a day of learning, reflection, healing and culture.
The program begins at noon with a Guided Reconciliation Walk or a community reading of the 94 Calls to Action. At 2:00 PM, the Ceremony and Celebration of Culture will include a Drum-In for Survivors, reflection, and voices of Survivors, Sixties Scoop Survivors and youth.
