Calling our Peterborough community—could you help make this year’s ElderDog auction special? 🐾❤️

Our online auction runs November 23–29, 2026, and we’d love your help gathering prizes.

A gift certificate from your business, a basket of local favourites or a service you can offer could make a wonderful contribution. New items valued at $50 or more are preferred, but smaller donations are welcome for combined prize packages.

Funds raised support veterinary care for senior dogs and other local Pawd needs. We’ll recognise donors on our auction website and social media, and local pickup can be arranged.

A little dog who loves being close. Meet Harley. 🐾❤️

Harley is a friendly, affectionate 5–6-year-old Dachshund looking for a loving home through ElderDog Peterborough. He loves meeting people and will happily sidle up beside you.

He’s house-trained, neutered, and up to date on his core vaccines. He can be reactive around other dogs, especially larger ones, so he’d likely be happiest as the only dog. Walks can get exciting, and he sometimes pulls when something catches his attention! 🐿️

Harley has a veterinary wellness check coming up before he’s ready for rehoming, but you can reach out now to learn more.

💌 Interested in Harley? Email [email protected].

Not looking to adopt? Please share—someone you know could be his person. 🏡

Meet Steve Lloyd, one of the volunteers behind our Peterborough Pawd. 🐾

For Steve, volunteering with ElderDog is about more than walking dogs. It’s about getting to know their personalities, supporting their people, and helping older adults stay connected with the dogs they love.

His advice to future volunteers?
“Serve with grace, reliability and understanding.”

Thank you, Steve, for the care and commitment you bring to ElderDog. 💙
