June is Seniors Month, we recognize the contributions, resilience, and lived experiences of older adults in our communities.
We honour the roles seniors play as caregivers, mentors, neighbors, leaders, storytellers, and lifelong learners.

Let’s stay connected, reduce isolation, and celebrate aging with dignity and respect.

Some days, positive affirmations need to feel real. 💚

You don’t have to force yourself to feel okay. Small steps, slow progress, and honest feelings all count.

Which affirmation do you need most today?

“You should just stop” is not support.

Mental health and addiction are complex, and recovery is not about willpower alone. Support, treatment, community, patience, and time can all play an important role.

A little compassion can go a long way. 💜

Today is Global Wellness Day. A reminder that wellness isn’t about perfection or routines that look the same for everyone. Wellness can mean rest, movement, connection, creativity, boundaries, therapy, fresh air… or simply getting through the day.
What’s one thing you'll do for your wellbeing today?

Finish the sentence: “One thing I need right now is…”

It could be rest, support, quiet, connection, food, a laugh, a walk, or just a moment to breathe.

There’s no wrong answer. Checking in with yourself is a small but important act of care. 💚

What we wish we knew when first accessing the mental health and addiction system, from the lived experience of PCFC staff.

Entering the system can feel overwhelming, scary, confusing, or uncertain. These reflections come from people who understand that journey in a personal way.

You are allowed to ask questions.
You are allowed to bring support.
You are allowed to be part of your recovery plan.
You are allowed to need medication.
You are allowed to not feel okay.
You are allowed to try, adjust, and keep going.

Most importantly: you are not alone, and your voice matters.

Recovery doesn’t mean doing it all alone. 💙

Support can still be helpful even when things are going well. Peer support, therapy, community, and check-ins can all be part of staying connected, supported, and well.

Asking for support is not a step backward, it can be part of moving forward.

A gentle reminder for today 💙

You do not need to have everything figured out to be worthy of care, support, and kindness.

Take things one step at a time. Small steps still count.
