Tourism Pemberton has released a new MRDT Community Assessment exploring whether visitor-funded investment could support local businesses, recreation and stewardship, visitor services, and community experiences. MRDT is widely used across BC to invest in local visitor economies, but Pemberton and Area C currently don’t have access to this dedicated funding source. The report is an invitation to learn more, ask questions, and help shape the conversation about what MRDT could mean for our community.

Tourism is here in the Sea to Sky, and is coming. Together, we have an opportunity to consider how it can contribute positively to the Pemberton we want for the future.

At the top end of the Sea to Sky highway, Pemberton is a little farming community with big adventures. Surrounded by beautiful rivers, dramatic peaks and farms producing organic and regenerative produce, visitors can experience the beauty of the Coast Mountains in incredible ways. From climbing trails on horseback to soaring off paragliding jumps, picking fresh berries to tasting craft beers grown and brewed onsite.
It’s a land of colourful flowers, family-friendly fun, tasty meals and great wilderness exploration.

*As you may know, areas of British Columbia are currently dealing with wildfires. However, British Columbia is a very large and diverse province, and there are many areas that are not directly impacted, are open for business, and are ready to welcome guests. If you’re travelling in BC, check real-time wildfire conditions under “Know Before You Go” at www.supernaturalbc.com”

Pemberton and its businesses are open and welcoming visitors.

The Beer Farmers Sunflower Maze is open! Check out the last of this Summer’s blooms before the seasons change.

Some of us got a sneak peek at Slow Food Cycle Sunday last weekend riding by the field - now everyone can get lost amongst the sea of yellow exploring the maze.

Flowers follow their own timeline so make sure to catch them soon before they go - they are expected to last a couple of weeks.

One of the most beautiful drives in the region is a stretch of road that connects Pemberton to Visit Lillooet. ‘The Duffey’ (Duffey Lake Road — Highway 99) is where the lush rainforest of the Sea to Sky gives way to the Interiors semi-arid and rugged landscape reminiscent of an Old Western.

You turn one corner and the landscape changes in an instant thanks to the rain shadow of the Coast Mountains.

If you’re looking for a different weekend getaway, Pemberton and Lillooet make for a combination of delicious food direct from our farms, big adventures, beautiful drives, wineries and craft breweries and educational trips with Xwisten Experience Tours.

A 21-Year Pemberton Tradition 🌾🚲

Slow Food Cycle Sunday was founded in 2005 and started by Anna Helmer and Lisa Richardson, two Pemberton residents concerned that irreplaceable farmland is under constant development pressures. The bike ride is a way to inform people of the importance of farmland, to allow townspeople to spend the day in the country and to give farmers and consumers a chance to connect.

“It’s Pemberton’s own Moveable Feast,” says Lisa. “The ride is slow and social; it’s like a street party, gorgeous scenery, all kinds of bikes, lots of families, all kinds of fashion from bikini tops to spandex, all kinds of bikes from cruisers to tandems to downhill rigs”.
