As we wrap up another incredible season, we want to take a moment to recognize the people, partners, and community that make it all possible. ❄️💙

A huge thank you to Kal Tire and Cross Country BC for their ongoing support of our Skill Development Programs. Your investment in young athletes helps create opportunities, build confidence, and grow a lifelong love of sport.

We’re also grateful to our local supporters who help bring the season together:
🙏 Pemberton Valley Supermarket for the delicious end-of-season cake
🌲BC Parks for access to Nairn Falls trails
🚜 Tourism Pemberton for snow clearing support
👏 And to our dedicated coaches and groomers — your time, energy, and passion make all the difference

This season, we’ve been especially proud to see our athletes continue their journey with the Coast Corridor United (CCU) race team. The collaboration between Whistler Nordic Ski Club, Sea to Sky Nordics, and Spud Valley Nordics is something special — creating a strong pathway for athletes across the corridor and building a truly connected Nordic community.

We also want to give a BIG shoutout to Veya Stevens and Teja Stevens, who competed at the 2026 Nordiq Canada Ski Nationals in Mont-Sainte-Anne, QC. While they now race for Bulkley Valley, their Spud Valley roots run deep — and we’re proud to cheer them on from home!

Thank you to all our athletes, families, and volunteers for another memorable season. We can’t wait to see what next year brings. ☀️🎿

Final Coast Cup of the Season ❄️

Big thanks to all the athletes who participated in Teck Coast Cup #4 at Whistler Olympic Park today — the final Coast Cup event of the winter.

It’s been a great season of racing, and today was a fun way to wrap it up with sunshine, fast snow, and plenty of cheering.

Spud Valley Nordics continues to be proud of the Pemberton athletes who participated in this season’s Jackrabbits and Track Attack programs, as well as those now racing with the Coast Corridor United team.

It’s also great to be part of such a strong Nordic community, alongside our friends at Whistler Nordic Ski Club, Sea to Sky Nordics in Squamish, and Hollyburn Cross Country Ski Club, all supporting young athletes and growing the sport across the region.

A big thank you to the coaches, volunteers, parents, organizers AND Delores who make these events possible all season long!

Huge congratulations to two incredible athletes representing our community at the BC Winter Games in Rossland today! ❄️

🥉 Dalia Fortier
Spud Valley Nordics club member & Coast Corridor United Race Team
3rd place – BC Winter Games (2012 category)
Classic Technique | 3.3 km Interval Start

5️⃣ Teja Stevens
Spud Valley Nordics Alum (now with Bulkley Valley) and Coast Corridor United Race Team
5th place – BC Winter Games (2012 category)
Classic Technique | 3.3 km Interval Start

To see Dalia on the podium and Teja skiing to a top-five finish at a provincial event is something to celebrate. These results don’t happen by accident — they’re built on years of community support, steady progression through local programs, and the consistent work put in through our summer, fall, and spring dryland training.

We’re also grateful for the leadership and support of Mia Serratore, Head Coach with Whistler Nordics and Coast Corridor United, helping guide these athletes to perform at their best on a big stage.

Small communities. Big heart. Strong skiing.

Way to represent. 👊💙

What a weekend at the Teck BC Cross-Country Ski Championships at Whistler Olympic Park.

Over three days of racing, Spud Valley Nordics was proudly represented by three Pemberton athletes — a small crew with a big presence.

These athletes grew up in our Jackrabbits and Track Attack programs and this season stepped up to race with our Coast Corridor United team (CCU). That kind of progression is what community sport is built for.

We are incredibly proud of the effort, grit and determination they showed all weekend. 💙❄️

🎿 Good luck to our local skiers this weekend!

Wishing the best of luck to all the young athletes (ages 8–14) from Squamish, Whistler and Pemberton competing at the Teck BC Cross-Country Ski Championships at Whistler Olympic Park.

This season has already taken these dedicated skiers to races in Prince George, Kelowna, and Salmon Arm — and now they get to race on home snow!

Your hard work, early mornings, and commitment all season long are something to be proud of. No matter the results this weekend, you’re already champions for showing up, training hard, and representing your communities.

Ski strong, have fun, and soak it all in! 💪❄️

We’re cheering you on!

Well done Joe Davies!!

6th place in Italy today for Joe Davies of Pemberton BC in the gruelling final stage of the Tour de Ski, finishing the Tour in 16th overall!

Joe’s overall result is one of the best ever World Cup performances by an athlete from BC. A few other top-20 individual World Cup results include Katie Weaver’s 16th in the classic sprint in France last winter, Julien Locke’s 15th in the freestyle sprint in Germany in 2018, and George Grey’s 16th in the 15km classic in Switzerland in 2008. (Joe also had a 15th in the 20k skiathlon in Norway last season as well as three 16th place finishes, in Norway, Finland, and USA.)

Joe is from Whistler Nordic Ski Club and was a Jackrabbit with Spud Valley Nordics in Pemberton. Joe first made the BC Talent Squad in 2014, the BC Dev Squad in 2016, and the BC Ski Team in 2018. Joe raced for the University of Utah (completing an engineering degree) and as a dual citizen, currently races for Great Britain.

Rémi Drolet of Rossland BC finished in 45th today, finishing the Tour de Ski in 43rd overall. Gabe Gledhill of Vancouver Island was 63rd today, finishing the Tour in 61st. (Gabe is also a dual citizen, racing for Great Britain.)
