This Wednesday was another proud night at 167 Squadron as we celebrated several cadet promotions!

Promotions are earned through hard work, leadership, dedication, and a commitment to personal growth within the Cadet Program. It is always rewarding to watch our cadets continue to challenge themselves and take on new responsibilities within the squadron.

Congratulations to all of our cadets who were promoted this week — your efforts do not go unnoticed, and we are proud of everything you have accomplished so far. We look forward to watching each of you continue to grow as leaders!

Please enjoy a few photos from the evening below!

On April 8, Officer Cadet Dylan Williams took part in a formal attestation ceremony, and on May 13 he proudly received his first official rank in uniform surrounded by family, friends, and members of the squadron community.

Dylan’s journey began as a cadet with 167 Squadron, continued as a Civilian Instructor, and now into service with the Canadian Armed Forces — a milestone that reflects years of dedication, leadership, and commitment.

Congratulations, OCdt Dylan Williams, on your enrolment in the Canadian Armed Forces. Your squadron is incredibly proud to watch you continue this journey of service and leadership. 🇨🇦

A Free Youth Program — Now More Important Than Ever!

We know economic times are challenging for many families. With the rising cost of living, adding extracurricular sports or activities simply isn’t possible for everyone — and that’s one of the many reasons why we want to spread the word about Air Cadets.

Air Cadets is 100% free!
There are no registration fees, no uniforms to buy, and you will never be asked for money. Ever.

What youth do get is something pretty special:
✅ Fun, engaging weekly activities
✅ New friendships and a strong sense of belonging
✅ Leadership and confidence-building opportunities
✅ Experiences they’ll remember long after

It’s also important to know:
👉 There is zero military expectation — now or in the future.
Cadets is about growth, teamwork, and great times in a safe, supportive environment.

To help us reach more families who may truly benefit, we’re asking our community to please like our page, follow along, and share our posts. The more people who see our content, the more we can make sure this free opportunity reaches those who need it most in the Owen Sound area!

A quick like or share makes a real difference. Thank you for helping us grow our following and continue supporting local youth.
