We had a great time last night hosting the Owen Sound & District Chamber of Commerce Alive@5 event. About 55 people came to check out the makerspace, network, and meet our community of makers. Courtney from the Business Enterprise Centre - Grey County was there to challenge members with a Pitch-It or Ditch-It game and our Grey Bruce Makers volunteers were here to discuss projects and their experiences at the makerspace. Mark Brown from Fire and Shadow Alchemy donated a custom engraving door prize and we gave away a Woodshop Starter package and a Digital Fabrication Starter pack! A huge that you to Tiffany James and her crew from the chamber for helping host the event!

Did you know we have some cool tech at Grey Bruce Makers? Ainsley one of our members and volunteers, is using our Meta Quest 3 headsets to trace out a mural design for the front entrance! Gracie designed the mural based on a contest we had. Now Ainsley is tracing it out and we will paint it!

David Nusko came by today to pick up his hand forged iron hook made by Forty Hills Forge during our blacksmithing course! I got to show him around the space and drilled a few holes into it so he could mount it! It's easy when you have a ton of great machines near at hand. We hope you enjoy the gift David!
