Cornerstone’s Young Professional Advisory Board is proud to announce its 6th Annual Flowers for Mom Fundraiser. This Mother’s Day, choose from three vibrant hanging basket varieties, locally grown at Nesbitt’s Greenhouse. It’s a beautiful way to celebrate the women in your life while supporting women experiencing homelessness. These stunning 10” hanging flower baskets are grown with care at Nesbitt’s Greenhouse and Nursery in Aylmer, Quebec, and will be conveniently available for pickup in Ottawa.
Cornerstone Housing for Women is Ottawa’s first and largest women’s only shelter. Beginning with just three cots in the basement of a church back in 1983, Cornerstone has grown to support over 300 women experiencing homelessness through its 4 supportive housing residences and one emergency shelter. With your help we're building a community that gives women the chance to heal in peace, and live with dignity.
Baskets are $40 each or 3 for $100. Order today and choose your basket in Ottawa on a first-come first-served basis on pickup day on Saturday May 9 from 11am - 2pm. Mix and match or choose three of the same kind ! You will automatically be entered into a raffle to win a free gift from Nesbitt’s Greenhouse and Nursery

The Cornerstones Young Professional Advisory Board is saving to build a community garden at one of Cornerstones’ residences. Time spent in nature and in community can gently support healing, reduce stress, and remind someone they are not alone. This shared space will offer women a place to connect, reflect, and care for their health and well-being, season after season.
Five dollars from each purchase will go directly toward creating this garden, helping support mental health, healing, and a sense of belonging for years to come.
