The federal government has announced plans to indefinitely exclude MAID for those whose sole underlying condition is a mental illness, while also proposing to allow advance requests for MAID.

ARPA Canada is calling on the government to address these issues separately and reject advance requests. Protecting one vulnerable group should not come at the expense of another.
