My heart is so broken and so full.

The duality of this life continues to not be lost on me.

We will always have conflicting emotions.

I will always feel so proud to celebrate Lachlan and his life.

Everyday I would give it all up for him to be here.

It is tough and it is our life.

I'm so thankful to all of you who show up in any capacity for Lachlan's Light Canada, it truly means the world. To have created a space where volunteers are need and people showed up, thank you.

Honestly, I am finally letting Race day sink and woahhhh my heart is full. Thank you to all of you, you truly helped us make the day a success.

We are leaving the peer-to-peer campaign open until the end of the week as there are still donations coming in and we will give you totals on amounts fundraised VERY soon!!! It is amazing, we are SO grateful.

TEAM SPOTLIGHT

Thank you to all of you for joining us, fundraising and for allowing us to remember your children with you.

If you know me, you know I love to create. Ever since Lachlan died I have poured myself into creating to make sure loss parents know their children are always remembered. The run was created for exactly that. If I can take time to personalize something for parents I always will.

I hope you enjoy these personalized magnets as I truly enjoyed sitting and creating them while remembering your children.

As the weeks go on, I hope to show so much from our event once we get pictures back as I had time to take approximately 10 😅.

Queencare has come on board and joined us as a water sponsor for this years walk/run.

To be honest, I don't even know where to start with these two amazing women. They are the most caring, hilarious and supportive people. The fact that they have created such an amazing resource here in the 1000 Islands blows me away. I only wish every mother had these resources while going through their motherhood journey (I certainly know I wish I did).

When I was approached to begin running a pregnancy, infant and child loss support group in collaboration with each other, I was IN! I could not be more grateful for all the ways you show up for not only the community but for me as well. I am honoured to stand beside you in support of all ways through motherhood and parenting.

I could not ask for a better charity to partner with to continue to support this community and so many others in turn. Love you both so damn much and cannot wait to see all the things you continue to do while being a part of it!!! Thank you both for all the support and love you always show me and Lachlan.

Our bubble sponsor this year is Harmon Davis. His mama Aja is someone who loves hard and always wants to support in any and every way that she can. She shared with me that on Harmon's first birthday they knew 100% they would blow bubbles for their boy so this was a perfect match. Harmon is so loved and missed by his family. Sending so much love to all of you and thank you for sponsoring this years bubbles!!

When we lived in Alberta we used to attend a yearly memorial walk called the Calgary Walk to Remember and they would read every child's name out loud. They handed out small bubbles to each person to blow for their child's name or during the whole ceremony if you wanted to.

I loved this gesture and knew it would be something that I brought to my own event if I ever one day was able to do it. Here we are 10 years later and I'm going to see that come to life in person. I am so honoured to say all your children's names and would love for you to add them in the comments below.

We are now FOUR DAYS away from race day and we cannot wait to welcome those of attending in person on Sunday, May 3rd!!

We have been planning this event for months and we cannot believe that it is almost here. There is going to be so much fun to be had at this event AND you may feel some sadness or deep sorrow. That is okay to. All emotions are welcome as we come together and remember our children together.

We will have so many fun things happening during the day from a DJ, face painter, photographer along the course, games, Lachlan's Lookout, kids tables, vendors and ao much more.

There is still time to sign up!!! Today, April 30th will be the last day to order a lawn signs (local folk can take them home, they will not be shipped but will be kept).

We are SO honoured that .ten.west wanted to be a medal sponsor for our run/walk that happens this Sunday!! The medals are one of the most important pieces of an event like this. Some people sign up JUST for the medal to some 5k events (I have before 😅).

I am honoured to call you a friend and ao grateful for all that you so to give back. Your heart is so big friend and I am honoured to know you.

We have so many raffle prizes for the day of the walk/run. We cannot wait for you to be able to pick which prize you would like to win or maybe its multiple prizes. They really are so good and have been donated by so many amazing businesses and people. We are so grateful to all of you who are apart of this event. It truly means so much to have people and businesses helping us to raise more funds to support bereaved families after the death of their child. It is essential.

BIG RAFFLE PRIZE ALERT!!!!! This is a BIG one!!

We have a brand new apple watch donated by to bring all of you an amazing prize and raise funds for Lachlan's Light Canada along with our annual walk/run. We will sell tickets for this until May 3rd, the day of the event and we will pick a winner there.

This is something I will try to remember to stream live so that everyone can see and after the event I will ship it out to the winner if they are not in attendance!! We wanted to be able to include our virtual runners and anyone else who cannot be at the event to.

There are so many reasons this run is necessary and we cannot wait to have you join us for such a meaningful event. We are coming to you today with a few updates and a few reasons you may want to join.
