✨ From Shift to Spotlight — Winnipeg 2026 ✨

On September 22, we brought together nearly 300 nurses, nursing students, donors, partners, and friends during for the first time since 2018.

It was an incredible evening of connection and celebration, recognizing the people who make a difference in the lives of Canadians every day and those who invest in the future of nursing.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the evening so special.

Today, on the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, we honour the children who never returned home, Survivors of residential schools, and the families and communities who continue to carry this legacy.

At the Canadian Nurses Foundation, reconciliation means an ongoing commitment to listen, learn, and take meaningful action. By supporting First Nations, Inuit and Métis nurses, students, and researchers, we can help advance Indigenous-led knowledge and culturally grounded care.

Today, we reflect, honour Indigenous voices and knowledge, and reaffirm our commitment to supporting the next generation of Indigenous nursing leaders.

On the evening of September 22, the Canadian Nurses Foundation is hosting From Shift to Spotlight — an evening of canapés, cocktails and a celebration of nurses’ impact across Canada. It will be a great way to connect with colleagues after a day at the conference, and we’re proud to help spread the word.

The Canadian Nurses Foundation supports nursing scholarships, bursaries, programs dedicated to nursing mentorship and mental health, as well as nurse-led research across Canada.

La Conférence 2026 de l’AIIC est une occasion d’échanger avec l’ensemble de la communauté infirmière.

Le soir du 22 septembre, la Fondation des infirmières et infirmiers du Canada organise From Shift to Spotlight — une soirée de canapés, de cocktails et de célébration de l’incidence des infirmières et infirmiers partout au Canada. C’est une belle occasion d’échanger avec des collègues après une journée à la conférence, et nous sommes fiers d’en faire la promotion.

CNF champions Dr. Andrew Turnbull and Judah Turnbull have not only completed their incredible 7,500-kilometre cycling journey across Canada, they’ve also surpassed their fundraising goal!

Thanks to the generosity of supporters like you, they exceeded their $15,000 goal and have now raised more than $19,000 in support of nurses’ mental health.

Thank you, Andrew & Judah! Your determination, resilience, and unwavering commitment over 7,500 kms have inspired us all!

National Nursing Week is a time to recognize the compassion, skill, and resilience of nurses who support communities across Canada every day.

It also arrives during Mental Health Awareness Month in May, a meaningful reminder of the importance of supporting mental health and well-being for all.

This year, Canadian Nurses Foundation is proud to highlight the inspiring “Ride for Resilience” campaign, a 7,500 km cycling journey from Victoria to St. John’s raising awareness and funds for mental health and resilience initiatives across the country. 🚴‍♂️

Led by a dedicated father-and-son team, this cross-country ride is bringing Canadians together in support of CNF’s Healing Healthcare Initiative that support nurse’s mental health resilience through training programs.
