What does community support look like? Sometimes, it looks like a grocery bag filling up with fresh food, essential items, and a little less worry for the week ahead.

Through the Tomorrow Ready program, Khalsa Aid () and the OCH Foundation come together to help people facing rising costs. Tomorrow Ready responds directly to the needs identified by OCH communities, helping bridge the gap between what people can afford and the support available to them.

Help us fill more bags and support more people. Donate today via the link in bio (or our website)!

June is National Indigenous History Month, a time to honour the history, heritage and cultures of First Nations, Inuit and Métis peoples across Canada. It is also a time to listen, learn and support the ongoing work towards truth, reconciliation and justice. As uninvited guests on this land, we acknowledge the leadership of Indigenous people from time immemorial, and remain committed to building inclusive communities together.

What makes a good friend? A good friend is a reliable community partner who shows up for your community with a truck bed full of groceries.

Yesterday, our team joined forces with Khalsa Aid Canada to distribute food and hygiene products to an Ottawa Community Housing - OCH community, reaching over 35 people. Through the Tomorrow Ready program, communities identify the items they need most, and together we deliver those essentials directly to residents.

Khalsa Aid doesn't just help fund the groceries, they shop for them, transport them, and deliver them alongside us. Their commitment to showing up, month after month, is what makes Tomorrow Ready possible. Thank you, Khalsa Aid, for being the kind of friend every community deserves. ❤️

Every time we organize an event in the community, there’s always a moment that stays with us. Last week, when we distributed 105 bikes, it was watching kids ride away with the biggest smiles on their faces that stood out the most. Here’s a quick recap of that amazing day!

We’re extremely grateful to the Juneberry Fund - Ottawa Community Foundation, , , , Ottawa Community Housing (), Ottawa Public Health, for donating Trek bikes, and the volunteer team from TELUS for making it all happen. Thank you for supporting Hop in Bikes!

Another year, another reason to give a big shoutout to GIANT Wholesale Distributors Ltd.! We’re proud to welcome them back as the Swag Bag Sponsor for our 2026 Annual Charity Golf Tournament. Their continued support over the years has helped make this tournament such a meaningful day in support of our communities. Safe to say they’ve become a major *driver* of this event (pun absolutely intended). Thank you, GIANT, for sticking with us year after year 💚

Last Friday, we delivered another Tomorrow Ready aid drop, providing 25 residents with groceries including bread and fresh vegetables, and essential hygiene products. What makes this program unique is that every drop responds directly to requests from the community. Tomorrow Ready helps bridge the gap between what residents can afford and the support currently available through food banks and other organizations. For many residents, these drops help ease impossible choices and ensure they have access to the essentials with dignity and care.

A heartfelt thank you to Khalsa Aid Canada for making this program possible through their continued generosity and partnership. Thank you for always being there for Ottawa Community Housing - OCH communities!

“I got my first bike when I was 5 but I lost it 6 years back. This time I’m going to take good care of it. I’m excited to start cycling again.” As 105 bikes found new homes yesterday through Hop on Bikes, stories like this remind us that a bike is so much more than transportation. It’s the chance to simply enjoy being outside while making the most of your childhood. Another parent, watching their children receive bikes, told us, “Thank you so much for doing this. It means a lot.” Moments like these are what this program is all about.

A heartfelt thank you to the Juneberry Fund - Ottawa Community Foundation, EnviroCentre, the City of Ottawa, re-Cycles Ottawa, Ottawa Community Housing - OCH, Ottawa Public Health, Bushtukah for donating beautiful Trek bikes, and the incredible volunteer team from TELUS Friendly Future Foundation for making it all happen. Your support is creating healthier communities, one bike at a time.
