This Thanksgiving, we give thanks for the gift of community for neighbours who care, volunteers who give their time, and the many people who make Carlington a welcoming and caring place to call home.

May this be a time to pause, reflect, and appreciate the people and blessings that surround us.

As Thanksgiving approaches, we are grateful for the volunteers, churches, and supporters who help Carlington Chaplaincy bring care, connection, and hope to our neighbours.

Through welcoming drop-ins, social connections, practical support, and spiritual companionship, our volunteers remind neighbours facing isolation and hardship that they are not alone.

But the need in our community continues to grow, and our resources are stretched. Your support is more important than ever to help sustain the trusted programs our neighbours depend on and ensure no one is forgotten.

It is the last month of summer and we are still showing up for our neighbours!

We exist to create a welcoming space where neighbours can connect, grab a coffee, find support, have a conversation, and simply feel at home in their community. đź’š

Our Drop-In continues throughout the summer, and we are looking for volunteers to help make it a warm and welcoming space for everyone who comes through our doors.

Whether you are great at starting conversations, lending a helping hand, or just being a friendly face, there’s a spot for you!

Today, we celebrate the people, cultures, and communities that make Canada such a vibrant and welcoming place to call home.

At Carlington Connection, we are proud to be part of a diverse community where neighbours support one another, friendships are built, and everyone belongs. Canada’s strength comes from the many stories, experiences, and traditions that come together to create a richer, more connected community.
