St. Joe's Supper Table

St. Joe's Supper Table At St. Joe’s Supper Table we believe that food is a human right. We also operate two weekly food banks in Sandy Hill.

To demonstrate this we provide for those in need by offering a nightly community meal or a sandwich to go. We offer breakfast Monday thru Friday, 9:30-12am, and Supper Monday thru Friday 5-6pm. We have two food banks for Sandy Hill residents only. One located at 300 Wiggins and operates every Friday 12:30-14:30. The other is at 151 Laurier and operates every Thursdays from 12:30-14:30. Exciting partnership for The Supper Table 🍽️

As part of a multi-year partnership with the Lowertown Community Resource Centre and the Centre Espoir Sophie, prepared meals are now being distributed to families without consistent access to kitchen facilities.

This important work also includes food handling sessions and WHMIS training, helping build skills alongside access to meals.

💙 Thank you, Los Casa des Abuelos! 💙

At our Community Christmas Dinner on December 19, 2025, we were honoured to share cold‑weather gear generously donated by Los Casa des Abuelos—Spanish for “House of Grandparents.” This remarkable gift was not only a donation of funds, but a true labour of love, with every item hand‑knit with care.

Their donation included 15 scarves, 67 hats, 36 pairs of gloves, 35 pairs of socks, 1 baby blanket, 61 baby bibs, 47 neck warmers, 20 baby sets, 30 slippers, and 10 purses—helping keep our community warm throughout the holiday season.

Without their generosity, we would not have been able to distribute so many essential items. Thank you for sharing your time, talent, and compassion with St. Joe’s Supper Table. 💫

🍽️ St. Joe’s Supper Table provides healthy, hot meals to community members in need four days a week, from 5:00–6:00 PM in our dining room.

None of this would be possible without the dedicated and consistent support of our volunteers. Every week, dozens of people come together to prepare, serve, and clean up—working as a team to ensure each meal is welcoming, nourishing, and comforting.

We are deeply grateful for their commitment and for the positive impact they help create. This meal is just one example of the fresh, wholesome food offered at the Supper Table. 💙

Our incredible friends at the Ottawa Regional Youth Choir sang their hearts out and helped raise approximately $4,500 at the Songs for the Supper Table event for St. Joe’s Supper Table!
