A huge thank you to the Rosemont District Fire Department team for raising nearly $900 for Family Transition Place (FTP) at their Charity Car Wash in August! 🚒❤️

Community events like this help more people discover FTP and learn that support is available when they need it. The funds raised also help us continue providing essential programs and services in our community.

Observed every August 31, International Overdose Awareness Day is a global day of remembrance, awareness, and action. It honours those who have died from overdose, supports those affected, promotes overdose prevention, and helps reduce the stigma around substance use and drug-related deaths.

The Drug Poisoning Awareness Day event is a welcoming, judgment-free space for people with lived and living experience, families, friends, supporters and community members.

Listen to guest speakers, take part in an art activity, learn how to use naloxone, find community resources, or simply share food and time with others.

A group of AMAZING kiddos stopped by today with an incredible donation of backpacks packed to the brim with everything needed for the upcoming school year! 📚

We are so incredibly grateful for their generosity. Donations like this do so much more than fill a backpack—they help a child we serve start the school year feeling prepared and confident, while also taking a little bit of pressure off a family’s budget.

You do not need to have all the answers to show someone you care.

On Drug Poisoning Awareness Day, simply showing up can be a meaningful way to listen, learn, mourn and stand with people affected by substance use and drug poisoning.

Join us Monday, August 31, from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Tony Rose Memorial Sports Centre in Orangeville (6 Northmen Way).

The event will include, guest speakers, naloxone training, art activities, community resources, food and refreshments.

Come for the full event or stay for what feels right.
