When we invest in mental health, we invest in the well-being of our entire community. 💚

Through local granting and community partnerships, the Dufferin Community Foundation helps support organizations working right here in Dufferin County - including those providing mental health resources, programs and services for people of all ages.

On World Mental Health Day, we recognize the important work of local organizations helping individuals and families feel supported, connected and less alone.

Congratulations Streams Community Hub on 10 incredible years! 💚🎉

Last evening, we were proud to join Streams for the Good Old-fashioned Telethon fundraiser, celebrating a decade of creativity, connection, and community. The telethon raised $10,250, surpassing their 10th Anniversary $10,000 goal. And the donations are still coming in! 👏

Broadcasted live on Rogers Dufferin and through Streams' social platforms, the evening featured youth performances, the Streams Sing Club, live painting, alumni stories, giveaways and plenty of memories from the past 10 years.

Our Executive Director, Michele Fisher, presented a $16,500 cheque from the Greenwood Family Fund and talked about the Streams Creative Futures Fund - a "forever fund" that will play a key part in Streams' vision for the next 10 years and beyond.

The Shelburne Community Fund is a forever fund created for the people of Shelburne.

The application window for our Fall Grants has now closed.

Thank you to everyone who applied! We’re incredibly grateful to all the organizations and groups that took the time to share their work, ideas and vision for Dufferin County.💙

From Arts & Culture and Environment to Children & Youth and Local Heritage, we’re excited to see the many ways local charities are working to strengthen our community.

The Grants Review Team is hard at work reviewing all of the applications. We look forward to sharing the successful recipients with you in November.

It’s always a pleasure to support good people doing good work in our community!

Last month, we were delighted to present St. Timothy Church and the Knights of Columbus Council 8851 Orangeville each with $4708.33 grants from the W&M Edelbrock Fund.

What makes this fund so special? It’s part of an endowment fund held at the Dufferin Community Foundation, which means these organizations will receive a grant every year, in perpetuity. Over time, these grants can grow into a significant source of annual support, which enables them to plan ahead.

This is the 4th year these organizations have received these grants, and we’re excited to see the positive impact this funding will have in our community!

The Knights of Columbus have already shared that they will add this funding to their Charity account, allowing them to support a wide variety of local organizations, families experiencing poverty, youth with special needs, and more.

We’re grateful to support local organizations that continue to give back and make our community stronger. 💙

🤝 Building a welcoming community takes all of us, which is why we are pleased to offer $4,000 in total funding to support charities and community groups helping to resettle refugees in Dufferin County.

Our Refugee Resettlement Fund Grant is a little different from our other funding opportunities. Rather than selecting a single recipient, we bring together local charities and sponsor groups to make a consensus-based decision about how the funding can best be used to support refugee resettlement in our community.

If your organization or group is involved in refugee resettlement, or you’d like to help shape how these funds can have the greatest impact, we’d love to have you participate in the conversation.
