The Alzheimer Society of Dufferin County is a community based non-profit charitable organization. At present, there is no cure and no known cause.

Alzheimer Disease is a degenerative, progressive disease that affects the brain. Alzheimer Disease and related disorders affect 1 in 13 Canadians over the age of 65, and an increasing number of individuals under 65. This disease affects over 700 families in Dufferin County.

🚨New item alert in our Library of things 🚨 We are so fortunate to be able to offer Cognitive Activity Kits from the Alzheimer Society. What is a Cognitive Activity Kit? These kits are inspired by Montessori principles and focus on abilities rather than limitations. The themed kits have been designed to support meaningful connection, engagement and enjoyment for individuals living with dementia. All you need is your library card!
