IODE Headwaters is the newest IODE chapter in Orangeville. We are a group of professional women who enjoy giving back to our community.

We were so pleased to take part in the wonderful 15th birthday celebration at Divinity & Co Hair Studio. To mark her milestone year in business, owner Rina invited the community to nominate deserving women for a makeover experience. From the many heartfelt nominations, fifteen women were selected, and for two days the studio was transformed into a “makeover haven.”

We were able to see several of the women after their hair and makeup were completed. Their smiles said everything—deep appreciation, renewed confidence, and the delight of receiving pampering they would never choose for themselves.

Local businesses came together to sponsor this celebration, and we were proud to be among them. Rina has always supported our events and fundraisers, and it was meaningful to give back especially for such a special occasion.

It's time for an IODE Headwaters Progressive Euchre. That's right, we usually hold a euchre night in the Spring, but we miss all the fun that comes along with the evening so we're having our first ever Fall euchre event. It's at the Oddfellows Hall, 24 Elizabeth Street, doors and bar open at 6 with cards beginning at 6:30. $25 per person.

It has been ten years since IODE Headwaters proudly celebrated becoming a new chapter at our Bestowal Ceremony on September 27, 2016.

We may be a small chapter, but together we have accomplished an extraordinary amount over the past decade. Our achievements include reaching the Benefactor level with donations totalling between $25,000 and $49,000 to the Headwaters Health Care Foundation, numerous contributions to the Orangeville Food Bank, support for the men’s shelter, providing iPads to local public schools, assisting secondary students, and donating to Bethell Hospice and Branching Out Support Services, which supports neurodiverse adults. We have also contributed to many other programs and services that strengthen our community.

None of this would be possible without the hard work and dedication of our members and the incredible people who come out to support our events—golf tournaments, euchres, fashion shows, festive raffles, and more. Their generosity fuels everything we do and allows us to make a meaningful difference right here at home.

We enjoyed a celebratory lunch at Osprey Golf Course restaurant Two Brothers on Monday September 28th, complete with cupcakes and sparklers provided by our president Pam Ainscough.

15 years wouldn’t be what it is without this team.

The last two days were something I’ll never forget. Between our 15 Women, 15 Stories, 15 Years event and celebrating Divinity & Co.’s 15th birthday, there were so many moving pieces, long hours, laughs, emotions and special moments.

Thank you for jumping in wherever you were needed, supporting each other, taking care of our 15 incredible women, helping with the party, and making sure everything came together the way I had imagined.

I know how much extra work went into these past two days, and I truly appreciate every single one of you. I couldn’t have done this without you.

I’m so proud of what we created together and even more grateful that this is my team.

We were excited to visit Orangeville’s Food Bank yesterday to make a donation. Moments like this remind us why community support matters so much. It’s through the generosity shown at our fundraising events — and the kindness of those who give — that donations like this are possible.

Now more than ever, the Food Bank needs our attention. Many local families struggle all year long, and every contribution — whether food or monetary — truly matters.

We were honoured to visit Headwaters Health Care Centre to present the proceeds from our recent Fashion Show. It was truly a wonderful evening — beautiful fashions provided by Pear Home, a delicious meal and welcoming venue from Déjà Vu Diner, and a room filled with women whose support makes events like this so meaningful.
Because of your generosity, donations such as this are possible, and our community continues to benefit from exceptional care close to home.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us for Euchre on April 11. Thanks to your generosity and community spirit, we were able to donate $2,400 to Bethell Hospice today.
On top of that, your kindness helped us deliver 191 pounds of food to the Orangeville Food Bank — a remarkable contribution that will support local families in need. And a special mention goes to K&G Engraving and Gifts (34 First St.) and GFL for their generous donation of amazing prizes for those who contributed to our food drive. Your support added an extra layer of fun and encouragement to the event, and we are truly grateful.

A heartfelt thank you for the continued support and participation of all who attended our Spring Euchre. Be on the lookout for information about our next Euchre on October 17.

Our heartfelt thanks go out to the local businesses whose support strengthens everything we do. They are the heart of our community, and their contributions to our fundraising efforts ensure we can continue giving back where it’s needed most. Over the next few days, we will be featuring the generous donors who helped make our Fashion Show possible. We are all so fortunate to have them in our community!
