Small non-perishable items may be dropped in the Food Bank bin at any Grocery Store or into the blue donation bin at the front door of the Food Bank. Large donations may be brought to the food bank during office hours, which are Monday-Friday 9am to 5pm or contact us to make arrangements.

HungerCount is Food Banks Canada's annual national research study, tracking food bank use and the factors driving food insecurity across the country since 1989.

This year, Canada’s 2026 HungerCount reported:

• One-third (32.5%) of food bank clients are children.
• Nearly 1-in-5 food bank clients (18%) are employed.
• Since 2021, food prices have increased by approximately 30%, housing costs by
28% and transportation costs by nearly 24%.

Everyone has a role to play. Take action by:

•Visiting orangevillefoodbank.org to learn how you can help people in Dufferin County who are struggling to afford food and basic essentials.

•Visiting foodbankscanada.ca/hungercount to read this year’s HungerCount report and learn more about the true impact of food insecurity in Dufferin County and across Canada.

REMINDER: Our Community Produce Market will be taking a break until further notice.

Our final market day in Shelburne will be Wednesday October 28th and our final market day in Grand Valley will be Thursday October 29th.

Thank you for supporting the Orangeville Food Bank and it's efforts to supply more fresh food to all our Dufferin County neighbors —we have loved every moment! Please stay tuned for our future plans.

If you are in need of fresh produce or need food assistance the Orangeville and Grand Valley Food Banks will be happy to assist you. In Shelburne we will be working with the HART Hub in the Mel Lloyd Center to have fresh items available.

When Randy set out on his 892 kilometre journey, he had a goal of raising $10,000 for the Orangeville Food Bank. What happened next left us absolutely in awe.

Over 10 days, Randy cycled across Ontario, battling rain, muddy roads, and challenging winds, all for the neighbours in our community. He didn’t just reach his fundraising goal-he absolutely crushed it, raising an incredible $13,300 (and counting)!

We are SO proud of Randy, and honestly, we’re not sure we have enough words to express just how grateful and amazed we are by his dedication. Randy, your generosity, determination, and heart for this community are nothing short of extraordinary.

If you’re interested in supporting this amazing pedal-powered fundraiser, donations are being accepted until Friday, October 30. There’s still time to be part of this incredible effort and help Randy’s ride make an even bigger impact.

A huge thank-you to the Orangeville OPP for supporting our community! 💙

Through their food drive they brought in 568 pounds of food and $510 to help nourish our families and individuals in Dufferin.

To our wonderful market community: As the number of individuals needing our support within the Food Bank increases we are making some tough choices about how to utilize our resources most effectively. Today is World Food Day. It serves as an important reminder that nutritious food should always be available to everyone.

Our Community Vending Machines are helping make fresh, prepared food more accessible and affordable, with meals and snacks available for just 25¢ each.

This Thanksgiving, we're especially grateful for the community that makes our work possible.

To our volunteers who generously give their time, our donors who share what they can, our community partners who work alongside us, and everyone who supports our services, thank you.

Your kindness and generosity help us do more than provide food. Together, we're building a stronger community where everyone deserves to feel supported, valued, and included.

To our clients and neighbours, thank you for placing your trust in us, sharing your experiences, and helping shape a food bank that continues to learn, grow, and better serve our community.

We also recognize that Thanksgiving can be a difficult time for those facing food insecurity and financial hardship. As we reflect on what we're grateful for, we remain committed to working toward a community where everyone has access to the food and resources they need.

However you spend this Thanksgiving, and whoever you spend it with, we hope your weekend is filled with warmth, connection, and a little gratitude.

Here at Orangeville Food Bank, we're especially thankful to be a part of a community that continues to show up for its neighbours in extraordinary ways.

And speaking of extraordinary, we want to take a moment to celebrate Randy Hunter!

For the second year in a row, Randy has taken on an incredible cycling journey across Ontario in support of the Orangeville Food Bank. This year he rode hundreds of kilometres over 10 days and raised more than $13,000 to help fight food insecurity in our community.

Randy, thank you for going the distance-again. We're incredibly grateful for your spirit, your generosity, and everything you've done to support our neighbours. And thank you to everyone who donated and cheered him on along the way!

This Thanksgiving, we're reminded that community is about more than where we live. It's about the people who care, the people who share, and the people who go the extra mile.

We're so thankful that you're a part of our community, Randy.

As we move into the cooler months we have changed our schedule for the Neighbours Community Market. We will not be holding the produce market at the HART Hub in Orangeville until further notice.

You can still purchase your produce at a discount, or by paying full price you can help pay it forward for your neighbour on:
